EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
I was trained in hypnotism and hypnotherapy at The Howard L. Hamilton School of Hypnotism, located at 38798 Scravel Hill Rd. NE, Albany, OR 97321, phone 541-327-3513, which provides Professional training in the Therapeutic Practice of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and is one of three schools approved by the Oregon Hypnotherapy Association. I am a member of the Oregon Hypnotherapy Association and of the National Guild of Hypnotists. I attend continuing education to maintain my training at a high level. I have been doing seminars, guided sessions, and consultations in complementary and adjunct wellness methods since 1976.
I have a B.A. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from George Washington University Law School.

THE STATE OF OREGON HAS NOT ADOPTED ANY EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING STANDARDS FOR THE PRACTICE OF HYPNOTISM. THIS STATEMENT OF CREDENTIALS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
Under Oregon law, a hypnotherapist may not provide a medical diagnosis or recommend discontinuance of medically prescribed treatments. If a client desires a diagnosis or any other type of treatment from a different practitioner, the client may seek such services at any time. In the event my services are terminated by a client , the client has a right to coordinated transfer of services to another practitioner.
THE SERVICES I RENDER ARE HELD OUT TO THE PUBLIC AS A FORM OF MOTIVATIONAL COACHING COMBINED WITH INSTRUCTION IN SELF HYPNOSIS. I DO NOT REPRESENT MY SERVICES AS ANY FORM OF HEALTH CARE OR PSYCHOTHERAPY, AND DESPITE RESEARCH TO THE CONTRARY, BY LAW, I MAKE NO HEALTH BENEFIT CLAIMS FOR MY SERVICES.
A client has the right to refuse hypnosis services at any time
A client has the right to be free of physical, verbal, or sexual abuse.
A client has a right to know the expected duration of treatment, and may assert any right without retaliation.
REDRESS
I am a certified member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, and practice in accordance with its Code Of Ethics and Standards. If you ever have a complaint about my services or behavior that I can not resolve for you personally, you may contact the National Guild of Hypnotists at P.O. Box 308, Merrimack, NH 03054-0308,{603} 429-9438, to seek redress. Other services than my own may be available to you in your community. You may locate such providers in the telephone book.
Services & Prices
First session is $85 and is about 80 minutes.
Each subsequent hypnotherapy session is $65 and is about 60 minutes.
Three-session packages (minimum recommended for most nagging issues): $185 (Save $30)
I do one out of every ten sessions pro bono. Free. Call me.
Coaching sessions are in 15 minute blocks, whether by phone or in person, at $17.00 per block. (A coaching session is usually 2 or 3 blocks, but could sometimes be a quick 15-minute check-in.)
Customized tapes are approximately 30 minutes. $75, including a 30 minute interview.
Hypnosis and coaching can be mixed and matched. Everything is by agreement
I accept cash and checks. Please notify me of cancellation within four hours prior to appointment to avoid cancellation fees.
CONFIDENTIALITY:
I will not release information about you to anyone without written authorization from you, except as provided for by law. You have a right to be allowed access to my written record about you.
Insurance:
I suggest you to think of my services as something that you will pay for personally. Doing so will both protect your privacy and help you place higher value on the work you are doing. In general, the insurance companies do not like to cover hypnotic services, and I caution you not to expect them to do so.
MY APPROACH:
The client's best interest is always of foremost importance in my practice. I focus on assisting clients to achieve their goals through the use of hypnotherapy and coaching, in order to access the deepest and most powerful aspect of themselves for self-improvement and true growth.
You will be guided through relaxation, guided imagery, hypnosis, Emotional Freedom Technique, and stress reduction processes for the purpose of self-help and self improvement. Services you are receiving are not substitutes for normal medical care. You are advised to discuss services with any doctor who is taking care of you now or in the future.
